SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 6 Urging the United States                                                                          
Congress to defeat House Resolution 39, titled "To preserve the Arctic                                                          
coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Alaska, as                                                                
wilderness in recognition of its extraordinary natural ecosystems and                                                           
for the permanent good of present and future generations of                                                                     
Americans" was read the second time.                                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
Senator Huggins, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the                                                               
adoption of the Resources Committee Substitute offered on page 1043.                                                            
Without objection, CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO.                                                                           
6(RES) Urging the United States Congress to defeat H.R. 39, titled                                                              
"To preserve the Arctic coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife                                                           
Refuge, Alaska, as wilderness in recognition of its extraordinary                                                               
natural ecosystems and for the permanent good of present and future

Senator Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the                                                                      
resolution be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and                                                               
placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered.                                                                  
                                                                                                                                
CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 6(RES) was read the

The question being: "Shall CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
